When does Equinix FR7 make sense?
- You need many carriers under one roof
- You want a presence in Germany for customers in the DACH region
- You need private connections to cloud platforms through Equinix
- You want to connect Frankfurt back to Amsterdam
- You run network-heavy services such as hosting, SaaS or content platforms
- You need Frankfurt, but not your own team in Frankfurt
A cabinet fits servers and private cloud at 4 kW. Larger GPU systems go to the Amsterdam region or become a project.
What does a cabinet cost?
Full cabinets only, at a fixed 4 kW. Setup is billed once per cabinet and falls with the term.

What comes with every cabinet:
- A+B power and metered PDUs, already in place and covered by the setup fee, with no separate PDU charge
- One 1 Gbps port per cabinet
- BGP session and your own IP addresses, free
- IPv6 /48 per customer, free
4 kW is a hard limit per cabinet. There is no overage fee, and more power is on request.
What connectivity do you get?

- BGP sessions and your own IP addresses, free
- Transport to Amsterdam, quoted per project
- Cross-connects to any provider in Equinix Frankfurt, FR5 included, at the standard Equinix fee, confirmed in your quote
Internet exchanges such as DE-CIX are in the building. ServerKing does not provide exchange ports: you order your own and we arrange the cross-connect.
Who does the physical work?
Your team does not need to be in Frankfurt. Our own engineers do the physical work, at €130 per hour with a 1-hour minimum, at any hour, excl. VAT. No start time is promised, and there are no prepaid packs.

Can I bring my own hardware, and can you install it?
Yes. Bring your own equipment or buy it through us. Our engineers receive it, install and cable it, and test it before it goes live, at €130 per hour excl. VAT with a 1-hour minimum. Deliveries need 2 business days' notice and a packing list.
Can I connect Frankfurt to Amsterdam?
Yes. Transport between Frankfurt and Amsterdam is quoted per project. Tell us the capacity you need and we reply with a price.
What is the minimum term?
12 months. A longer term lowers the setup fee: €2,500 on 12 months, €2,000 on 24 months and €1,500 on 36 months, excl. VAT.
Can I get more than 4 kW?
A cabinet is a fixed 4 kW, and that is a hard limit with no overage fee. If you need more, tell us how much and we look at it per request.
What happens when the cabinets are gone?
This page stays and we keep a waiting list. NTT Frankfurt 1 is available on request and quoted per project.
