How colocation works: steps, responsibilities and cost

Start by telling us what you will run. We size the rack and the power, supply the hardware or take yours, design the network, install and test everything, and look after the infrastructure while your team works on its applications. Everything runs on open source, with no vendor lock-in.

    What are the steps?

    1. 01

Tell us what you will run

Your applications, your data and when you want to go live. You don't need a hardware list: we work it out with you.

    2. 02

      We size power and rack

A half rack at 2 kW, or a full rack at 3 to 7 kW, in whole kW.

    3. 03

      Bring or buy the hardware

Bring your own servers, or buy them from us. We choose the configuration with you.

    4. 04

We design and quote the network

Switches, BGP and uplinks for your racks, supplied and configured, turnkey.

    5. 05

      We install, connect and test

Racked, cabled, connected and tested before go-live, with every serial and port recorded.

    6. 06

      You run your applications

We look after it at the infrastructure level: monitoring, security, updates, changes and troubleshooting, priced per project.

How do we bring your infrastructure up?

Push «Don't push the button» and this site boots like a server. We bring up your infrastructure the same way: layer by layer, each one checked before the next.

    POWER
Your half rack or full rack, with power and dual metered PDUs, in a NorthC data centre
    NETWORK
Your switches, BGP and uplinks, designed and configured for your racks
    STORAGE
Your servers, storage and GPUs, racked, cabled and tested
    PLATFORM
The operating system and the platform, set up by your team or by us per project
    OK
Running: your team works on its applications, and our engineers look after the infrastructure

    What does it cost?

Racks are billed per kW committed, set per rack: from €425 per kW per month on a 12–36 month term, excl. VAT.

The rate per kW includes the work around your racks. Quoted for your project: the hardware; the network for your racks, to buy or rent; care after go-live.

    Questions about getting started?

    1. Where do I start?

Tell us what you will run and when you want to go live. We size the power and the rack, and propose the hardware and the network.

    2. How much does it cost?

Racks are billed per kW committed, set per rack: €425 per kW from 4 kW, €445 for a half rack or a full rack at 3 kW, on a 12–36 month term, excl. VAT. A half rack is €890 per month and a full rack starts from €1,335, excl. VAT. Hardware, network and care after go-live are quoted for your project.

    3. Do I have to buy the hardware?

No. We install the servers you already have, or sell you new ones. We can also move your equipment from your current data centre with equipment migration.

    4. Who has access to my data?

You do. Our engineers look after the infrastructure: rack, power, network and hardware. They never access your data.

    5. What if I don't know what I need?

Tell us what you want to achieve. We work out the power, the rack, the hardware and the network with you, and reply with a price.

Want to talk to the engineers who run the racks?

Tell us what you need and when, and we reply with a price.
