Private cloud on your own hardware
A private cloud on your own servers in our racks in the Amsterdam region. We install and configure the cloud platform and look after it, per project. Always open source, with no vendor lock-in; the platform is chosen for what you will run.
How does your own cloud come together?
- 01
Hardware
We choose it and sell it to you through equipment procurement, or move the servers you have with equipment migration.
- 02
Racks
It goes into our racks, from a half rack, at our published rack rates.
- 03
Cloud
We choose an open-source cloud platform for the job, then install and configure it on your hardware.
- 04
Live
Your cloud runs on your own hardware. We look after the infrastructure, and your team works on its own products.
Where your team's work ends and ours begins: Who does what?
Why own your cloud?
- Lower, predictable costs: your own hardware instead of renting capacity by the hour
- Your data stays on your own hardware
- Security: your own hardware in NorthC data centres certified to ISO 27001 and ISAE 3402 Type II
- Open source and no vendor lock-in: your hardware, your data, your choice of platform
Questions about your own cloud?
Which cloud platform do you use?
Always open source, with no vendor lock-in. Which platform depends on what you will run; we choose it with you.
Who looks after it once it is live?
We do, at the infrastructure level, per project: monitoring, security, updates, changes and troubleshooting.
Who has access to my data?
You do. Our engineers look after the infrastructure: rack, power, network and hardware. They never access your data.
How is a private cloud priced?
Per project, because the price depends on the hardware and the platform. The racks are billed at our published rate card.
